Combat Misinformation

Welcome to an evidence-based nutrition resource for cancer patients and survivors. This isn’t a blog with recipes, discussion about “cancer-fighting” foods or supplements, or revealing “secrets your doctor won’t tell you about.” This is a blog to help –

End the overwhelm

From my experience, cancer patients and survivors have many questions and want someone to take the time to answer them. Often they are so overwhelmed that they don’t even know what questions they should be asking and would love a guiding and experienced hand to navigate them through this journey. I get it, and I started Cancer Nutrition HQ to be your guide. You can learn more in the about me, but in a snapshot, I am a board certified oncology dietitian that has been in the area of nutrition and cancer for over 16 years.

You Don’t Have Time for BS

Unfortunately, I see too many survivors stressed and fearful that the food that they are eating is “bad,” and they are frequently worried about trying to make the “right” choices. This is exhausting limited mental energy and it is not sustainable, especially since eating is something you’ll need to do every day, multiple times a day, for the rest of your life.

Many people want to do the most they can to fight cancer, recover, or prevent the cancer from coming back. The problem is that many do not have the time or resources to navigate the endless and complicated information available online, in books and magazines, or from the growing quacks touting themselves as experts. It is increasingly difficult to sift through the information to find reputable and legitimate resources.

Know More. Fear Less.

The goal of Cancer Nutrition HQ is to empower people through evidence-based resources, hence the tagline “Know More. Fear Less.”  With my experience in research, practice, and education, I will cut through the noise and teach you, not tell you, how to implement the latest nutrition science in your life.

I hope my resources provide you the knowledge and strategies to feel empowered during and after cancer treatment.

Have a question or a topic you’d like me to cover? Let me know!
