Krystle Zuniga PhD, RD, CSO, LD

PhD Nutritional Sciences | Registered and Licensed Dietitian

Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition

I have over 14 years of experience in nutrition and cancer, including research, higher education, and clinical practice. I enjoy wearing many hats as a clinician, educator, scientist, and science communicator. Education, empowerment, and empathy are at the core of my work.
Through my experience, I have seen the critical gap in nutrition support for cancer survivors both during and after cancer treatment. Finding quality nutrition information is increasingly difficult with the rise of misinformation and disinformation. Rather than stand back and watch the problem worsen, I strive to combat misinformation, share the latest research in nutrition and cancer, and translate the science into everyday actions survivors can take to support their health and quality of life with nutrition.
I am committed to building Cancer Nutrition HQ to be a hub of evidence-based resources and tools for patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

When I am not blabbing about nutrition to anyone who’ll listen, I enjoy weightlifting, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my husband and two pups in Austin, TX.
